Most companies and firms these days will have a Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) programme. All of those will be well publicised to staff and external clients, suppliers and partners. Most will be well-intentioned and genuine, some will be well-resourced and driven by employee feedback. Only a few will be achieving true inclusivity.
We know that diverse, equitable and inclusive organisations achieve 70% higher growth and 36% better profitability. And we know that employees, particularly younger generations, want to invest their time and skills in those organisations that they believe truly value difference.
The Farringford Legal diversity equity and inclusion consulting team has the experience and skills to help organisations to engage with their workforce, to understand whether they are getting DEI right, to identify potential problem areas and offer guidance, insight and clear tangible advice to do things better.
We are openly different from most companies offering DEI services. Our backgrounds are in law, in solving complex problems for diverse clients, sometimes in "bet the company" scenarios. As lawyers we are expert in connecting across an organisation, in gathering meaningful and complex information and analysing and presenting that in a way that is actionable and makes sense.
We came to DEI focusing on gender parity in law firms, something that we are passionate about and had experienced personally. Our journey has taken us into the wider world of DEI, and we recognise that that won't in all cases be something we have personally experienced. We are very fortunate at Farringford Legal to be able to draw on an extensive network of professionals from a wide variety of backgrounds who both contribute to our work and broaden our experience and understanding.
The Farringford Legal DEI Services team are experts in listening, making connections, gathering and processing in depth information and presenting recommendations and solutions that are practical and achievable. As we are all lawyers ourselves, we understand law firms and the legal industry, and are passionate about working with leaders who want to affect real change in an industry we have lived in for decades.
